He introduced some advantages of a miner mobile carrier and compared others.

The speaker started a question "Do you have...?" Such questions are effective. The structure was very clear. To use a bigger chart or sheet would be better.

Prepared Speech 2: "Da ya like 70's music?" CC#3 TM RS (6'00")
She proposed a popular radio program which feature 70’s music, and explained to who and why it's popular.

It was well prepared and she gave the speech without note. The information on the board was good. He showed some sympathy for her idea, especially for the Carpenters.

久しぶりの韓国旅行で出会ったタクシーの運転手さんや　ホテルの前のおじいさんならぬおばあさんのことを　大変面白く描写しました。（ベスト！）

一貫して興味を持って聞けた。ボディランゲージがすばらしい。わかりやすい表現、特に多種多様な比喩と擬態語の使用。結論をもう少し工夫するとより面白くなる。（ベスト！）

All the management, the arrangement and the performances of the roles were good.
Suggestions to the audience： 1. To give a bigger clapping, especially the initial applause is important. 2. To give an attention to the T.T.Master. It’s a very good training!
個人論評者への提案: 参加者にお尻を向けないですむようにテーブルを下げてしまうなどの工夫をするとよい。

そのほか、文法係の「スピーチを生き生きさせる言葉に注目した」というのが印象に残りました。

He introduced what CS stands for.  CS stands for Customer Satisfaction.  The key factors to CS are 1. Safety  2. Courtesy  3. Show  4. Efficiency.  He explained these factors with his experiences and is successfully persuaded the audience.

She introduced what Dr. Helen Caldicott, an Australian Physician who studies especially for kids and advocates anti-nuclear, says about the situation of Japan after 3.11.  The situation is worse than that of Chernobyl and TM YT cast the question what we should do for it.

The 66th Machida Bilingual TMC regular meeting was planned with special workshop as called Summer Festival in Machida. President TM Ken called the meeting to order and welcomed our members and guests for this special program, He introduced episode of UNIQLO and had members and guests introduce themselves individually.

Prepared Speech 1: TM TK (5’46)
Project: High Performance Leadership Part2
Title: The plan of the new educational project of Machida Bilingual TMC

TM TK introduced educational project this year as having communication and leadership lectures repeatedly with using program of Better Speaker Series, Excellent Leadership Series and Club Successful Series. TM TK will be a leader as being a guide. And lectors from members will give presentation based on manual. Members will learn from lectures about basic knowledge and practical advice. Through those repeated lectures, club level will be totally increased. TM TK advertised lectors from members.

Evaluator: TM MH (2’37)
 He gave 2 good points and 1 suggestion. Good points were having well prepared hand-out and good tone/volume of voice. A suggestion was having a little more clear vision to attract members and guests.

ワークショップ： TM O
タイトル: MSDS（エムエスドス）がわかるとTT(テーブルトピック)が怖くない
テーブルトピックコンテストで過去に日本語で３回の優勝、英語部門で１回の２位を受賞しているTM Oが、テーブルトピックコンテストの何にこだわってきたか、具体的な方法とノウハウをワークショップを通して伝授しました。MSDSとは、Mind、Skill、Drill、Secret。出発点であるMindでは、テーブルトピックスとはそもそも何なのかから考え、結論である分母と、話のきっかけとスキルである分子の関係を説明されました。Skillとしては、"Make a Point, Tell a Story" が鍵で、その間を繋ぐエッセンスで大きな穴をあけて、エッと思わせる技術と意外性での引きつけ、そこをどう埋めるかの展開を強調されました。Drillとしての準備では、時事問題や新聞、雑誌の記事を元に、出題者がどういった質問を考えるか、またそれにどう応えるか、といった常日頃の訓練が重要であることを指摘されました。Secretとして、本番でのティップや心がけ、原稿に書く練習等のアドバイスがユーモア豊富に紹介されました。ワークショップの中では、実際に２名のチームでの過去の出題である
 1. あなたの家に幽霊はいますか？
 2. あなたを色にたとえると何色？
のテープルトピックスの練習と、発表も取り入れられました。
TM Oの経験やノウハウをユーモアたっぷりに説明され、非常に為になるワークショップでした。

総合論評: TM YH
出席者が多い例会の準備が十分にされていた事、時間運営がしっかりされていた事の指摘がありました。ワークショップでの良かった点として、一方通行ではなく双方向に進められたこと、練習する機会があったことを指摘されました。一点、最初の段階で、分子と分母の説明をもう少し詳しくされた方が良かったとの指摘がありました。また、ワークショップ開催者への感謝状は非常に効果的な表現法であり、良いアイデアである指摘がありました。

<Opening>  Presiding Officer, TM Ken I (President) called the meeting to order with opening remarks including a sententious episode. (14:03)

<English Language Session>  TMOD, TM ZT commenced the educational portion of the meeting very smoothly, commenting about the London Olympic 2012 slogan, “Discover Tomorrow” after introducing the guests.

1) Word of the Day: The word, "considerable" was introduced by TM K Ishi. It must have been considerable opportunities for the attendees to use this word at the meeting.

2) Helpers' Introduction: Grammarian: TM MS, Timer: TM KH, Vote counter: TM K Ishi, Ah counter: TM SS. These helpers all provided their brief explanations on their respective roles briefly and adequately.

3) Table topics session: TM TK
T. TM TK explained and introduced the same manner as that of the T. T contest, in which the same question: "Who is your hero or heroine in your life?" was asked to the following three attendees.
a) By TM SS:         1'42"  (Best!)
b) By TM KH:         1'35"
c) By TM K Ishi:    2'19"　

4) Prepared speech #1:
TM RS was challenging CC Manual Project 2, "Organize your speech", and delivered her second speech, whose title was "What's the Olympism!" She introduced several informative and key events among the Olympic history. (5'58")

5) Individual Evaluation #1:
TM YH provided his evaluation raising good points such as the point that the theme was timely with a suggestion, making a clear speech structure ranging from an opening, some bodies, and a closing by introducing some personal episodes related to the Olympics. (3'11")

6) Helpers' reports:
Ah counter reported that some members had none, one, a few or a lot of ahs.  The Word of the Day was used by a few attendees who spoke during the English session, and Grammarian also provided a common pronunciation error or some grammatical errors.

<日本語の部>  TOD, TM ZTはアジェンダに則り、引き続き日本語の部を進行した。

1) 今日の言葉: "かなりな" がTM K Ishiにより紹介された。

2) 各係の紹介: 文法: TM MS、計時: TM KH、集計: TM K Ishi，えーとカウンター: TM SS．英語の部に引き続き，各係からそれぞれ簡単な役割の説明をした．

3) 準備スピーチ#2;
TM YIのタイトルは「あー、アベコベだ！」課題は，上級マニュアル; "饗応スピーカー" の "聴衆を笑わせる"．自身のアフリカ駐在体験を基に，ユーモアを交えながら日本文化とのずれ，主要な歴史的な出来事を紹介し，聴衆を笑いに包んだ．(10'10")

4) 準備スピーチ#3；(ベスト)
TM Ken Iのタイトルは「コンプガチャはグレーゾーン」．課題は，上級マニュアル; "Speaking to inform #5" の "The Abstract Concept"．社会問題として注目されるコンプガチャを取り上げ，取締りとなった経緯，根拠となる法律条文とその解釈，ソーシャルゲーム会社側の対応等を分かり易く説明した．(7'36")

5) 個人論評#2:
TM TAからの主なフィードバックは，1. 最初に時勢を捉えオリンピックの話題から入り聴衆の注意を引いたこと，2. 個人体験を基に自分の言葉でユーモアを交えて語ることで聴衆を笑いに誘ったこと等を良い点として紹介し，スピーカーの意欲を喚起した．(3'42")

6) 個人論評#3: (ベスト)
TM TKは，冒頭スピーチ構成単位でその概要を振り返り，抽象的な概念を伝えることの難しさを説明し，具体的な良い点の紹介に加え，より良くするために中盤で引用された法律条文の紹介方法を日本語に同音異義語が多い点に着目した別方法を提案した．(3'16")

7) 各係からの報告: 今日の言葉; TM K Ishiからは、残念ながら今日の言葉が使われなかったこと，少し使い難かった言葉であったとの報告があった．文法; TM MSからは，主なスピーカー単位で具体的な改善提案の報告があった．えーとカウンター; TM SSからは，スピーチの全てが良く聞き惚れたこともあり，カウントはなしとの報告がなされた．

8) 総合論評: TM MHからは，例会全般(除: 準備スピーチ)に渡り，詳細な論評と改善提案(例: 1, 開始時刻遅延の宣言が冒頭でなされるべきであったこと，2, 英語の部で1分間のコメントシート記入時間が忘れられたが日本語の部ではまとめて時間が取られたこと，3, T.Tは、2人目以降のスピーカーに対し手順説明が抜けたことは要改善だがコンテストルールに準拠した方法は会員が慣れるために良かったこと)がコメントされた．

<事務連絡>
a) 2011-2012年度決算・監査報告，2012-2013年度予算案に対する説明後に，その承認の動議が出され，議決に必要な会員数を確認後，採決を実施，両動議共に可決された．

b) 次回例会の紹介; 8/10(金)の例会では，秋のT.Tコンテストに向けて，経験豊かなTMをお招きしたT.Tワークショップを実施するとの紹介と共に，積極的な参加呼びかけがなされた．

Her attitude was calm but full of confidence. English was excellent. Without any note, she delivered her first speech logically. If she explained the title of the speech at the opening part with some materials or sang the song by herself, it would be more effective.

Her action was effective. The presents for 3 members were well prepared. The story had a full of humor. When you move around the speaking area, if you didn't show your back to the audience, it would be better.

On June 23rd, 2012, The Machida TMC 63rd installed its new officers for the next term. 
TM TK for the last time as the club's President called the meeting to order and welcomed our members and guests to this special program. She also welcomed to the lectern the Master of Ceremonies for the afternoon Guest TM Y who performed "Passing of the Gavel Ceremony"
Called up to be installed as our officers were: President; TM Ken I, Vice President Education;
TM TA, Vice President Membership; TM Kei I, Treasurer; TM K Ishi, Secretary; TM SS.  After the ceremony, new President TM Ken I presented his Inaugural Address. He set the goals for his term to "create a truly positive place" for the club. 
TM YH gave his speech that paid tribute to the officers that served the club so well in the last term and celebrated new officers for the next term.

Title “夜更かしは三文の徳”.
Main points: 夜の星空を効果的にイメージさせるために、聴衆に目を閉じさせ、想像の世界へ導き、美しい星空の素晴らしさを、季節の星座を紹介しながら進めました。夜更かしをする事により、流れ星や、冬にしか見ることの出来ない星座も見ることができ、夜更かしは三文の徳であることを紹介しました。

Title “We Owe Our Lives to High School Boys”
Main points: He introduced vivid experience of an accident on the water. A group of him boarded a boat and went out to sea in sunny day. Suddenly cloud came and water became dogs and cats situation. His boat was flipped over. Crowd on the beach watched the situation then high school boys came to help them. It was a dramatic story.

効果的に状況をイメージしてもらうために、聴衆に目を閉じてもらい、よく工夫されていました。落ち着いた口調で、適切な言葉を選んでいました。

It was easy to image the situation by using body language and vivid words. As a suggestion, using more dramatic expression about changing situation may help to audience exiting.

General Evaluations TM TO
Preparation of meeting was well done. Meeting started 5 minutes behind of schedule but finished in time. Most of members had to have several duties due to less attendee, but it was handled very smoothly. Table topics were handled smoothly with seasonable and recent topics. Both of evaluators gave good points and some suggestions. Overall the meeting was successful according to the agenda.
