TM KN gave her first Toastmasters speech, which was about what she learned from her life experiences. Through her experiences as a violin teacher and a traveler in a foreign country, she found how sad or difficult situations can change into delightful moments, and there are chances we can overcome circumstances.
Individual Evaluation #1: TM Ken I (2'58")
TM Ken I commented that the speech was impressive and "curious", and then stated some good points such as: Asking a question to the audience at the beginning of the speech was excellent, her body movements were very effective, and the speech was fluent and smooth overall. Also, he recommended that it might have been better if the story about the delightful experience was just one in the speech, instead of two, so that listeners can focus much more on the speech.
Prepared Speech #2: TM TO (5'20")
Title: "Feedback for Machida Karatedo Championships Result"
(Project: AC "Speeches by Management" #2: Appraise with Praise)
TM TO introduced the importance of giving feedbacks. He demonstrated the feedback skills, imitating the situation of Karate coach and a player having been lost a match. TM NT volunteered to be the player part, and TM TO showed the feedback process as a Karate coach with "Mawashi-geri" action.
Individual Evaluation #2: TM TA (3'26")
TM TA made a lot of positive comments for the speech: TM TO's enthusiastic, constructive, and encouraging way of feedback would lead to an improvement. She also suggested that making more eye contact with the audience would help to make his speech powerful.
Prepared Speech #3: TM YT (8'05")
Title: "FOR KEEP LIVING" (Project: CC#3 Get to the Point)
TM YT delivered a speech about the necessity of evacuation of children to protect them from risks of radiation. She emphasized that the situation is so serious and we should take prompt action even for children in Tokyo, before it is too late.
Individual Evaluation #3: TM MH (2'42") Best!
TM MH commented that the speech topic was thoughtfully selected, and the purpose for the speech was clearly stated in the beginning, which meet project objective. His suggestion for improvement was to refer to her own family and her personal feeling, which would appeal more to the audience.

“Closing the Sale” – from Successful Club Series
TM YH gave a presentation on how to lead prospective members to decide to join a club. He explained that creating a win-win situation for both guests and members is the key to success in expanding the membership.

ハロウィン例会ということで、マジックショーやタイムリーなお題のテーブルトピックスなど趣向を凝らした内容が盛りだくさんで、大変楽しいひとときとなりました。一点、テーブルトピックスでゲストを指名する場合には、トップバッターではなく二人目以降の方が良いでしょう。
TM YH's workshop was impressive. He presented a lot of useful and specific tips for everyone with good humor. TM Ken I's evaluation had full of sympathy for the Ice-Breaker. TM TA did her evaluation with powerful and confident attitude. TM MH was serious and logical in the evaluation.

まず、初めてこられた方々のためにテーブルトピックスピーチについて、端的に説明されました。内容に関しては、質問がバラエティに富んでいて良かったです。そして発表者は落ち着いて時間内にスピーチを終えていました。

「旅に学ぶこと」
身軽な格好で旅に出るのが大好きです。何といっても楽しみは、ご当地の料理です。自宅に戻ってはその料理を再現してみます。旅先で美味しいものに巡り合えたら、その旅は大変に価値のあるものとなります。

「大きいことはいいことだ！」

She explained how to conduct an induction ceremony along the Parliamentary procedure. She showed the procedure with a role play and the audience was able to understand easily.

President TM Ken I called the meeting to order and welcomed our members and the guests for this special meeting. He introduced the episode of Apple and UNIQLO making a hit by filling the necessity “For All”.

Project: CC#4; How to Say It
Title: "My Life Traveling Map"
TM TM introduced his biography using his traveling map and some memorable photos by the projector and PC system.
Evaluator: TM RY (3'15)
She gave 2 good points and 1 suggestion. Good points were having the biology overlapped his travelling, and using the map where he traveled. A suggestion was that he needed a little more vocal variety.
Prepared Speech 2: TM TO (8'25)
Project: AC, Speeches by Management#1; The Briefing
Title: "Study for the forth highest mountain in Japan"
TM TO proposed the similarity of the necessity to be well prepared in case of the business solution and the mountain climbing, by using the way of question to the audience.

Title: "Permanent Dream"
TM KN proposed how to make yourself being healthy permanently by using the way of informative delivery.

She gave a good point and a suggestion. The good point was that she spoke confidently what she knew. And one suggestion was trying not to emphasize all, but specifically.

タイトル: 「印象に残るスピーチ」
TM Ken I が伝えたメッセージとは、「これから話すことを話す」「話す」「話したことを話す」という繰り返し３回話すこと。そして、その中で聴衆にエールを送り、聴衆に行動を起こさせる、それが印象に残るスピーチということ、とても実のあるワークショップでした。

常にメッセージは何だろう、と意識することが大事、またこのようなワークショップを月１回やりましょう、伝えていました。

課題: CC#2; スピーチの構成
タイトル: 「旅の終わりから始まりへ～カーディフ1週間の旅から得たもの」
旅が単に空間的な移動だけではなく、頭脳での旅も想像力豊かに重ね、ウェールズの言葉の伝承されてきた理由を論理的に説明し、スピーチを成功に導きました。
論評: TM Ken I
熱意、言葉の構成、をとても素晴らしいと評し、改善点を一つ。
「カーディフを知っていますか？」より「カーディフの○○を知っていますか？」
と序論を細分化すると尚素晴らしいということ。
準備スピーチ5: TM KH
課題: CC#2; スピーチの構成
タイトル: 「めざせ世界一周！」
けん玉を実際に持ってきて、意外性なものの中の真実、というように体力作りに使えるけん玉を興味深く説明し、スピーチを成功に導きました。
評論：TM TO
メモもなく行ったこと、スポーツとけん玉という意外性の内容、けん玉の実物を見せたことの素晴らしさを評しました。技のデモンストレーションがあったら更に素晴らしい、と評しました。

TM TM introduced his biography using his traveling map and some memorable photos by the projector and PC system.

She gave 2 good points and 1 suggestion. Good points were having the biology overlapped his travelling, and using the map where he traveled. A suggestion was that he needed a little more vocal variety.

Title: "Study for the forth highest mountain in Japan"
TM TO proposed the similarity of the necessity to be well prepared in case of the business solution and the mountain climbing, by using the way of question to the audience.

He gave his frank evaluation for the successful contents and persuaded for the next speech.

Project: AC Speaking to Inform#1; The Speech to Inform
Title: "Permanent Dream"
TM KN proposed how to make yourself being healthy permanently by using the way of informative delivery.

She gave a good point and a suggestion. The good point was that she spoke confidently what she knew. And one suggestion was trying not to emphasize all, but specifically.

TM Ken I が伝えたメッセージとは、「これから話すことを話す」「話す」「話したことを話す」という繰り返し３回話すこと。そして、その中で聴衆にエールを送り、聴衆に行動を起こさせる、それが印象に残るスピーチということ、とても実のあるワークショップでした。

常にメッセージは何だろう、と意識することが大事、またこのようなワークショップを月１回やりましょう、伝えていました。

タイトル: 「旅の終わりから始まりへ～カーディフ1週間の旅から得たもの」
旅が単に空間的な移動だけではなく、頭脳での旅も想像力豊かに重ね、ウェールズの言葉の伝承されてきた理由を論理的に説明し、スピーチを成功に導きました。

熱意、言葉の構成、をとても素晴らしいと評し、改善点を一つ。
「カーディフを知っていますか？」より「カーディフの○○を知っていますか？」
と序論を細分化すると尚素晴らしいということ。

課題: CC#2; スピーチの構成
タイトル: 「めざせ世界一周！」
けん玉を実際に持ってきて、意外性なものの中の真実、というように体力作りに使えるけん玉を興味深く説明し、スピーチを成功に導きました。

メモもなく行ったこと、スポーツとけん玉という意外性の内容、けん玉の実物を見せたことの素晴らしさを評しました。技のデモンストレーションがあったら更に素晴らしい、と評しました。

Title: The plan of the new educational project of Machida Bilingual TMC
TM TK introduced educational project this year as having communication and leadership lectures repeatedly with using program of Better Speaker Series, Excellent Leadership Series and Club Successful Series. TM TK will be a leader as being a guide. And lectors from members will give presentation based on manual. Members will learn from lectures about basic knowledge and practical advice. Through those repeated lectures, club level will be totally increased. TM TK advertised lectors from members.

He gave 2 good points and 1 suggestion. Good points were having well prepared hand-out and good tone/volume of voice. A suggestion was having a little more clear vision to attract members and guests.

テーブルトピックコンテストで過去に日本語で３回の優勝、英語部門で１回の２位を受賞しているTM Oが、テーブルトピックコンテストの何にこだわってきたか、具体的な方法とノウハウをワークショップを通して伝授しました。MSDSとは、Mind、Skill、Drill、Secret。出発点であるMindでは、テーブルトピックスとはそもそも何なのかから考え、結論である分母と、話のきっかけとスキルである分子の関係を説明されました。Skillとしては、"Make a Point, Tell a Story" が鍵で、その間を繋ぐエッセンスで大きな穴をあけて、エッと思わせる技術と意外性での引きつけ、そこをどう埋めるかの展開を強調されました。Drillとしての準備では、時事問題や新聞、雑誌の記事を元に、出題者がどういった質問を考えるか、またそれにどう応えるか、といった常日頃の訓練が重要であることを指摘されました。Secretとして、本番でのティップや心がけ、原稿に書く練習等のアドバイスがユーモア豊富に紹介されました。ワークショップの中では、実際に２名のチームでの過去の出題である
1. あなたの家に幽霊はいますか？
2. あなたを色にたとえると何色？
のテープルトピックスの練習と、発表も取り入れられました。
TM Oの経験やノウハウをユーモアたっぷりに説明され、非常に為になるワークショップでした。

出席者が多い例会の準備が十分にされていた事、時間運営がしっかりされていた事の指摘がありました。ワークショップでの良かった点として、一方通行ではなく双方向に進められたこと、練習する機会があったことを指摘されました。一点、最初の段階で、分子と分母の説明をもう少し詳しくされた方が良かったとの指摘がありました。また、ワークショップ開催者への感謝状は非常に効果的な表現法であり、良いアイデアである指摘がありました。

<English Language Session> TMOD, TM ZT commenced the educational portion of the meeting very smoothly, commenting about the London Olympic 2012 slogan, “Discover Tomorrow” after introducing the guests.
1) Word of the Day: The word, "considerable" was introduced by TM K Ishi. It must have been considerable opportunities for the attendees to use this word at the meeting.
2) Helpers' Introduction: Grammarian: TM MS, Timer: TM KH, Vote counter: TM K Ishi, Ah counter: TM SS. These helpers all provided their brief explanations on their respective roles briefly and adequately.

T. TM TK explained and introduced the same manner as that of the T. T contest, in which the same question: "Who is your hero or heroine in your life?" was asked to the following three attendees.

TM YH provided his evaluation raising good points such as the point that the theme was timely with a suggestion, making a clear speech structure ranging from an opening, some bodies, and a closing by introducing some personal episodes related to the Olympics. (3'11")

Ah counter reported that some members had none, one, a few or a lot of ahs. The Word of the Day was used by a few attendees who spoke during the English session, and Grammarian also provided a common pronunciation error or some grammatical errors.

8) 総合論評: TM MHからは，例会全般(除: 準備スピーチ)に渡り，詳細な論評と改善提案(例: 1, 開始時刻遅延の宣言が冒頭でなされるべきであったこと，2, 英語の部で1分間のコメントシート記入時間が忘れられたが日本語の部ではまとめて時間が取られたこと，3, T.Tは、2人目以降のスピーカーに対し手順説明が抜けたことは要改善だがコンテストルールに準拠した方法は会員が慣れるために良かったこと)がコメントされた．

<事務連絡>
a) 2011-2012年度決算・監査報告，2012-2013年度予算案に対する説明後に，その承認の動議が出され，議決に必要な会員数を確認後，採決を実施，両動議共に可決された．
b) 次回例会の紹介; 8/10(金)の例会では，秋のT.Tコンテストに向けて，経験豊かなTMをお招きしたT.Tワークショップを実施するとの紹介と共に，積極的な参加呼びかけがなされた．

On June 23rd, 2012, The Machida TMC 63rd installed its new officers for the next term.
TM TK for the last time as the club's President called the meeting to order and welcomed our members and guests to this special program. She also welcomed to the lectern the Master of Ceremonies for the afternoon Guest TM Y who performed "Passing of the Gavel Ceremony"
Called up to be installed as our officers were: President; TM Ken I, Vice President Education;
TM TA, Vice President Membership; TM Kei I, Treasurer; TM K Ishi, Secretary; TM SS. After the ceremony, new President TM Ken I presented his Inaugural Address. He set the goals for his term to "create a truly positive place" for the club.
TM YH gave his speech that paid tribute to the officers that served the club so well in the last term and celebrated new officers for the next term.

Title “Wonderful, Wonders of Holland ! ”.
TM YI introduced his experience about where he stayed around 1994.
Holland, another name is Netherland is a small but powerful country in Europe.
People living in strong faith make their live effectively high performance in education, economy, welfare and so many kinds. His speech took us all to a happy realism in Holland.

Title “ Keeping the Commitment(Digital) ”
TM YH presented us the very important thing a Toastmaster to do
using Power point and handout.
His message was so clear and easy to understand for any level of TM.
In his work shop, I thought most of the parts were not only for a Toastmaster
but to any individual person.
It must be the principle that we’d better put these sense on in kindergarten age.
Oh but it is easy to say hard to do I know !
Anyway, TM YH reminded us all that keeping promise is so valuable and essential. for our leadership skill. Thank you TM YH !

TM TA suggested to keep time for every speaker.
Because all prepared speakers and evaluators made over time.
However each speaker made wonderful speech and the others did their best
to help support them and all enjoyed a lot !

・春の全国大会参加費用の補助について（町田会員は一律2000円の補助金が出ます）
・5月19日の例会は朝10時スタート、定足数を満たすため一人でも多くの参加者を募ります。
・推薦委員会より次期役員候補の発表がありました。
・6月23日の役員就任式は小田急バンケットルームで特別例会を致します。

タイトル 「マイナス１を見せてよ」
子供の頃、算数が苦手になってしまった話を、面白く、楽しく紹介されました。正の数に対する負の数の理解には、目に見えないことを理解させる難しさを説明し、自らのつまずきから、目で見て楽しむ事を進められていました。
個人論評 ２ ＴＭ ＭＨ（２分４５秒）
TM ＭＨは、良かった点を２つ、提案を１つされました。良かった点は、「失敗があります」で注意を引いた点と、ハットする展開が良かった点で、提案では男の子の声をもう少し太い声で表現する事を提案されました。
準備スピーチ ３ ＴＭ ＴＯ （７分２１秒）
課題 ： ＣＣ ＃９ パワフルな説得
タイトル 「トライリンガルを目指そう」
ＴＭ ＴＯは、日本の人口減少に伴う衰退に対して、グローバル化への対応が継続した成長には必要である事を説明し、今後の企業人に求められるのは、バイリンガルで満足することなく、英語プラスワンのトライリンガルである事を強調しました。
個人論評 ３ ＴＭ TＫ （２分４９秒）
ＴＭ TＫは、良かった点を２つ、提案を１つされました。良かった点は、観客との距離が縮まるような問いかけが良かったことと、情報も有用で、説得力があった点で、提案では分析の説明時間を短くして、トライリンガルの利点をもっと強調する事を提案されました。
TM ＹＨ は例会全体にわたって一つ一つ丁寧に良い点や有効な提案をされました。 いつもながら 大変参考になります。
Business Portion : ＶＰＥより、４月２８日の次回例会について、１４：１５より新しい入会者へのＣＣ及びＣＬについての講習会を行う事と、その後の例会を通常より１時間短縮して開催する事の説明がありました。

The topics and his English were very good. The attitude was natural. If the speaker gives variety to the pace of speaking, it would be better. And adding some quotes might be useful.

The story a boy met his dead mother in his dream.

He mentioned two good points that the speaker delivered the story without note and the prop ,a cell phone, was effective. He offered two improving points, voice tone and standing position, and showed the good examples.

I noticed that it is not easy to say ”Are you all right? May I help you?” to people who may need a help through my experience.

The topics and the speaker’s gesture were good. The words and phrases were short and easy to understand. If the anecdote about a small girl is shorter or lighter, it would be better to focus on your experience story.
