TM TK opened the 58^th regular meeting serenely with the topics of cherry blossom. Then TM TK introduced TM MH for initiation ceremony. TM MH conducted the initiation ceremony for TM AT. TM AT became a member of Machida Bilingual TMC successfully. Welcome TM AT to TMC.

Manual : AM Speaking to Inform, Project #2 Resources for informing,

Title “The trend and problem of E-book market in Japan”.

TM Ken I used projector to explain the history of E-book market in Japan. It was easy to understand even for computer-illiterate persons. TM Ken I pointed out several problems about current E-book trend and informed us precautions for use.

TM YI commented clear voice & speaking naturally as a good point. Also using visual aid was good for audience. TM YI suggested putting data source for the data used.

タイトル　「マイナス１を見せてよ」

子供の頃、算数が苦手になってしまった話を、面白く、楽しく紹介されました。正の数に対する負の数の理解には、目に見えないことを理解させる難しさを説明し、自らのつまずきから、目で見て楽しむ事を進められていました。

個人論評　２　ＴＭ　ＭＨ（２分４５秒）

TM ＭＨは、良かった点を２つ、提案を１つされました。良かった点は、「失敗があります」で注意を引いた点と、ハットする展開が良かった点で、提案では男の子の声をもう少し太い声で表現する事を提案されました。

課題　：　ＣＣ　＃９　パワフルな説得

タイトル　「トライリンガルを目指そう」

ＴＭ　ＴＯは、日本の人口減少に伴う衰退に対して、グローバル化への対応が継続した成長には必要である事を説明し、今後の企業人に求められるのは、バイリンガルで満足することなく、英語プラスワンのトライリンガルである事を強調しました。

個人論評　３　ＴＭ　TＫ　（２分４９秒）

ＴＭ　TＫは、良かった点を２つ、提案を１つされました。良かった点は、観客との距離が縮まるような問いかけが良かったことと、情報も有用で、説得力があった点で、提案では分析の説明時間を短くして、トライリンガルの利点をもっと強調する事を提案されました。

Business Portion : ＶＰＥより、４月２８日の次回例会について、１４：１５より新しい入会者へのＣＣ及びＣＬについての講習会を行う事と、その後の例会を通常より１時間短縮して開催する事の説明がありました。

The topics and his English were very good. The attitude was natural. If the speaker gives variety to the pace of speaking, it would be better. And adding some quotes might be useful.

5 ”Tears” (Interpretive Reading Project5) TM KN 10min.1sec.

 The story a boy met his dead mother in his dream.

 He mentioned two good points that the speaker delivered the story without note and the prop ,a cell phone, was effective. He offered two improving points, voice tone and standing position, and showed the good examples.

6 ”Are you all right? May I help you?” (CC Manual Project4)TM KT 6min.56sec

 I noticed that it is not easy to say ”Are you all right? May I help you?” to people who may need a help through my experience.

 The topics and the speaker’s gesture were good. The words and phrases were short and easy to understand. If the anecdote about a small girl is shorter or lighter, it would be better to focus on your experience story.

The meeting was prepared as a rehearsal of area Japanese speech contest which MBTMC will be hosting on March 25^th. 2 contestants who won the in-house speech contest gave English speeches as a rehearsal. Also Contest Chair TM TO and Contest Judge TM RY gave each briefings before contest start. Also judges were pointed by Chief Judge for judge practicing. It was a first judge experience of judging for some of members. It was good experiencing meeting for many of members.

Prepared Speech 1  TM TK (no time recording due to contest rehearsal)  Manual : Storytelling, Project : 2 Let’s Get Personal, Title “Why I say thank you”.

TM TK introduced her childhood experience of jam-packed train to commute to elementary school. Some gentleman had always protected her in the jam-packed train, but she never had a chance to say thank you to him. It was a very interesting story and thought-provoking speech.

TM RY commented good points, such as good construction and warm atmosphere, and she suggested. 

Prepared Speech 2  TM TA (no time recording due to contest rehearsal) Manual : Contest basis, Title “Protect your Dream”.

TM TA introduced her two experiences of dream come true. One was going to USA and coming back with English speaking skill, and the other was joining to TMC and becoming a public speaker. It was successful stories of her to encourage audience.

TM YI commented good points of the speech such as cheerful and clear to understand, and he suggested.

TM YHさんは事前準備やブリーフィング、司会の進行について準備がされている事を指摘されました。改善点として、例会の議題をもう１日早く準備すべき点と、コンテスタントへの皆さんからのコメントが、コンテスタントの次回スピーチに役立つ点を指摘されました。

Before the meeting, MBTMC decided to accept a new member.

It was the first joint meeting with Den-en Toshi Toastmasters Club, even though it was very cold day.

TM KN introduced story of wedding ceremony which turned undesired result. But there was a way to change the game by wedding this time.

Title : “Crisis of the Earth”

TM I pointed out 3 things, 1. Collision of galaxy, 2. Sun getting older, 3. Asteroids hit the earth. Current earth is so busy to forecast other things, such as economy and fighting. If we are serious, we should solve those crises, instead.

名前、タイトル、構成の3つの良い点と、改善点として最初にPCを含めた話であることを最初に言ったほうが良いとの論評を展開。

TM N pointed speech gave a concrete message. TM N suggested using shorter sentences and clear easy experiences to use.

TM YI pointed out 2 good points of selection of right words & sentences and using short sentence for easy to listen. TM YI suggested that topics may be for advanced manual such as 30min. session.

TM RY gave 3 good points, 1. Topic was good, 2. Repeating sentences, 3. Gesture & voice. And TM RY suggested that when asking audience the question, maybe needed some hints.
